Gippsland Lakes Weekend

On Labour Day weekend Dad, Connor, and I went sailing on the Gippsland Lakes. I put the route we took on Google Maps
View Larger Map We left home, early Saturday(day 1) morning and drove to Loch Sport, the night before we left Dad had Mum sew a captains hat for Connor, so Connor took great pleasure in calling me ships boy (and anything else I wouldn't like). From Loch Sport we sailed to our camp site via Sperm Whale Head, then we headed to our camp site at Bunga Arm, for dinner we had pasta with a stir through sauce, it was very nice. On Sunday (day 2) we started off with porridge for breakfast, followed by a very tiresome, and very slow sail to Rotomah Island, at one point Dad had to row because there was no wind. We eventually got there and had lunch, then we had another long sail back to camp, and for dinner we had Rice Risotto, which was also very nice. On Monday (day 3) we packed up the tent and had a breakfast of porridge. We then started over to Duck Arm, we got to Duck Arm and had a very short lunch stop as the winds were building. We had a bit of trouble getting out of Duck Arm but we got out and had a very easy sail back to Loch Sport, where we packed up and started our drive back home.
