Homeschool Family Camp

We have just spent a week with 3 other families having a relaxing family camp. We stayed at a lovely campground Badger Creek Big4 There was a river to play in, a swimming pool, a lovely lake and a games room with lots of free games like air hockey, table tennis, pool etc (usually they charge for the games) The kids spent a lovely week with friends and the parents had time to chat and get some well deserved R&R. I did have some glorious goals of doing a walk or two but in the end the R&R won out and we only moved from the camp to stock up at the supermarket.

Some Photos of the group. All faces other than our family have been blurred out.

The children making a dam in the stream.

Swimming in the pool. We spent hours and hours here.

Playing games in the tent

Enjoying a cuppa and chat

And photos of the local wildlife. There were lots of things to see...

The Ibis were very keen to clean up after we ate but here is one at the stream.

The possums came around every evening to clean up anything the Ibis missed. They were not at all frightened by people and we had to be vigilent to keep tents zipped up at night.

We were all excited to see some Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos.
We also saw Rosellas, Sulphur crested Cockatoos and heard lots of Kookaburras. Had I hauled my lazy butt up to the lake more than briefly I might have seen lots more.

And lastly a couple of my kids biking back from swimming. It's the first time Mia has been able to have freedom to ride her bike around and she made the most of it. She was up every morning before 7am riding her bike around the campground.
