All of a sudden the temperatures have gone from 15C to 35C. Melbourne is known for it's temperature fluctuations but at this time of the year this drastic jump and to stay high for so long is very odd. We have gone from a winter duvet to sleeping under a sheet in 3 nights, the bugs are out, the doors are closed against the heat rather than the cold. It's disconcerting. Right now 35 feels very hot indeed, but we are getting acclimatised, probably just in time for it to drop to the low 20s in a week or so!
This shows the extreme jump, dashed lines are a simple curve fit to the Climate since 1908. The green lines are the approximate measured average daily min and max for the last month. If we have had a normal month they should line up with the dashed lines.
I always take more photos in summer. Prepare for the onslaught!
