Wilsons Prom 16 months on

In November, we went to Wilsons Prom camping with friends, while there I took some pictures of the fire damaged areas.  Richard and I have just come back from a weekend at the Prom, more about our other walking in another post, but here are the comparison pictures.  The first pictures taken 9 months after the fires in November 2009, the second are taken 7 months later, in June 2010

The focus of this photo is the orchid, which obviously is not flowering in June, other than the orchid the ground was bare.

This is the same rock, now surrounded by a riot of green.

November 2009, a swamp type area, not a bit of green to be seen.

June 2010, you can't even see the water any more.

November 2009, barren ground.

June 2010, I couldn't find the same tree but this is in the same general area.
The difference in the last 7 months is incredible!  November was just striking in it's barreness, especially given it was spring.  Now coming into winter the ground is a riot of green wherever you look, this is an area a little further from the rock, wherever there is no plants, moss has covered the ground like an emerald green carpet
The grass trees were much the same, although the flowers had died and many had snapped.
