McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park

We arranged to meet friends for a wander around the sculpture park on Wednesday.
The kids had a good time climbing on the Peter Corlett "Tarax Play Sculpture"
You can see Connor peeking out of one of the big balls to give you an idea of size, a lot of kids can play in that sucker.

The next day we came back to do some sketching.  It was the last few days of the Gallery Ark exhibition at the Gallery so we thought we would make the most of it.  It's amazing how you notice different things each time you go see.  Before we headed inside we spent some time sketching the spheres.

That looks like a great place to spend to let the children romp.
Great idea to use it as a subject for your sketching! :)
