We went with friends for a couple of long walks, first we bumped down a dirt road for MILES to a carpark in the middle of nowhere and after lunch we walked through some really stunning rainforest, which is not common in Victoria.
To the Ada Tree. This tree is a giant Mountain Ash of indeterminate age and height. It's decently impressive. Apparantly Ada was a "friend" of the surveyor, yeah sure, sure, a "friend" gets a river and tree named after them.
Then on to an area not so far off where there were some waterfalls, the names of which escape me. Generally waterfalls in Victoria are monumental disappointments due to lack of rain, but after a wet winter, and rain a few days before these ones put on a decent show.
Lots of gorgeous fungi
And a beautiful sunset, right before Mia did her now customary trip-home-vomit. Note to self: carry a vomit kit in the car.
