Bits from July 09

This is a bitser post. Bits of news from all of us.
Jordan: Just got his french report. It said "Jordan has done a tremendous amount of work in the first semester. Not only has he successfully completed the year 8 equivalent part of French Accelerted 1 course with excellent results, but he has also started French Accelerated 2. Jordan has maintained a very high standard in all his written assignments, demonstrating a firm grasp of the vocabulary items, linguistic structures and grammatical concepts introduced. His oral skills are also developing very well. During the prescribed telephone lessons, he has displayed clear pronunciation and well structured answers. I contgratulate Jordan on his impressive acheivement and his conscientious effort in the first semester. I hope that he will continue to work with the same enthusiasm in the second semester. Well done, Jordan!
So that's a really great result so far this year.

Connor: Has been studying the Wampanoag Nation of the USA. Here are a couple of pages from his booklet he made. He did everything himself with absolutely no help from me, he has done a great job.

When we go to the US we will be visiting a rebuilt Wampanoag village, which I'm sure Connor will enjoy very much. Connor is doing lots of writing and sketching at the moment.

Mia: Seems to understand place value better now, so we are moving forward with Maths again now. She is nearly finished Workbook 7 of Jolly Phonics and we are using the Fitzroy Readers series.

The new look on your blog is fantastic- you are such a clever lady Sandra.
Well done Jordan- that is very impressive, have you done any French before this?
Connor I love your work and my boys would love to go and visit a real village- have you tried to notch an arrow?
