AFL Parade

The footy final is a big deal here, along with empty shops on the day (everyone is watching the game!) there is a big parade on the friday in town.
We went along to see what all the fuss was about
The place was jammed, we got there about 10 minutes before the start and didn't have a hope of getting anywhere near the front, so we found ourselves a handy fence and perched ourselves upon it

The parade was a few bands, all the team mascots and flags followed by the players from the two final teams in pairs in cars. Then the entire crowd surged forward to follow the parade and all ended up right at the end of the parade where we had perched to listen to a few boring speeches. Here is the crowd. Apparantly there were about 100,000
