A Day Out With Friends

About a month ago we went for a walk, with friends, to the Coolart Wetlands.  There are large wetlands as well as a beach, a mansion, and lots of walking tracks.  All part of the National Park.  So we took only photos and left only footprints.  First we headed for the beach for the children to hunt for various things on a sheet the park office gave us.

We saw some cool stuff, some dolphins came in very close to us although I wasn't quick enough to get a photo.  Also shark egg casings, but again, no photo.

After wandering the beach for quite a while, we headed in to the walking tracks where we saw not much of interest, but ran out of time to look at the main wetlands area and then to the mansion where the children enjoyed exploring the rooms and looking at old letters and photos.  Coolart really is a spectacular spot, we'll definitely be back, next time we will aim to go bird watching at the wetlands area.
